Two Publishers, One Name
Founded by Hayyim Nahman Bialik, a celebrated Jewish poet, with the mission of producing educational literature for Jewish schools. The name was drawn from Mount Moriah — the sacred hilltop in Jerusalem's Old City.
Founded by Pastor Stéphane Chauvette with the mission of producing and distributing biblical Christian literature worldwide. By pure coincidence, the same geographical designation — Mount Moriah — was chosen as the name.
The City of Peace
Although the Bible speaks of Jerusalem as the City of Peace, this tiny morsel of land has never truly experienced a lasting period of rest. For centuries, powerful nations have desired Jerusalem, and nothing has really changed since then.
Perhaps there are unseen, dark and destructive forces who wish to prevent the fulfilment of biblical prophecy — fully aware that the true Word of the Lord should be proclaimed from the city of Jerusalem, from Mount Moriah.
When one seriously considers what the Bible declares concerning the eternal city of Jerusalem, the shared objective of both publishers is not surprising. As Divine Providence would have it, both Moriah publishing houses have equally recognized and selected the beautiful name of this tiny piece of land located in the most contested city in the whole world.
